Abstract

|
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the oriental conservative treatment for FBSS patient who were diagnosed as the Cauda equina syndrome.
Methods : The patient were treated by the oriental medical conservative treatment including herbal medication, dry needle acupuncture, direct moxibustion and indirect moxibustion, cupping therapy and, physical therapy. We estimated by Visual Analog Scale and Oswestry disability index for evaluate the effect of Oriental conservative treatment.
Results : After treatment, patient’s visual analogue scale score and Oswestry disability index score were generally decreased.
Conclusions : The oriental medical conservative treatment might be an effective method to treat the FBSS patient who were diagnosed as the Cauda equina syndrome.
